Whistleblowing

The term Whistleblowing refers to a system through which individuals working inside or outside an organisation can report to specific individuals or bodies within that organisation a possible fraud, crime, offence or any irregular conduct committed by others and of which they have become aware in the course of their work relationship.

Cattaneo Impianti has introduced a Whistleblowing system by implementing in particular the provisions of Law no. 179 of 30 November 2017 and Legislative Decree 24/2023, which transposed European Directive 1937/2019 through the implementation of a system for making and managing reports relating to:

  • Alleged or actual unlawful conduct relevant under Legislative Decree 231/2001;
  • Alleged or actual breaches of Models 231 and of the Code of Ethics adopted by Group companies and associations;
  • Breach of European regulations.

The rules of this institution consist of:

  • Protection of the confidentiality of the person making the report.
  • Protection against retaliation or discriminatory conduct by the employer against the reporting person.

Cattaneo Impianti ensures the protection and confidentiality of the identity of the person making the report as well as of the other subjects deserving protection in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 24/2023 and of the information contained in the report (including the identity of the person reported) and, in any case, guarantees protection against any possible retaliation linked, even indirectly, to the facts reported.
